Top Five Memorable Quotes

Image
My Top 5 memorable quotes from some readings👀 1. Popol Vuh by Allen J. Christenson: "Only the expanse of the water, only the tranquil sea lies alone."    I chose this quote because when I read it, I feel at peace. I can only imagine being on the beach listening to the waves of the sea, letting myself be carried away by the sound of the breeze and the birds around the water.   . 2. The Tale of Genji by Murasaki Shikibu:  "But she had, after all, priority over her rival; the Emperor had loved her devotedly and she had borne him princes."      I chose this quote because it talks about a person's priorities and what she gave and received in exchange for sharing all her love with the emperor.    3. The Seagull by Anton Pavlovich: "You have your health; your father's not rich, but he's not poor. My life is harder than yours."      I chose this quote because it is surprising how people compare their lives to others an...

Reflection on Five Years Next Sunday                 In this story, we can find the theme of the supernatural that is come for magic. This is the story of a young girl named Pili. She has long hair because she didn't cut her hair for five years. At first, in the story, Pili's mom treats her with solid character. Also, the mom didn't want the young girl to show her hair, which caught my attention because I do not understand if the mother wants to take care of her daughter or why she doesn't want the girl to show her hair. This story has a relationship with humans and their beliefs. There was another girl in the story called "Honey," she was insisting to Pili that she cut her hair. This is where I wonder if she envied him for having her long hair or if she wanted to remove the man who f...

Reflection of Romeo and Juliet     I do not know if I'm the only person who's never seen Romeo and Juliet before, but I've always heard a lot about that story. When I saw the movie for the first time, I was confused because I didn't know who Romeo and Juliet were. This story is about love and family. Juliet and Romeo's family were enemies, but Juliet still fell in love with her only true love. When Romeo sees Juliet for the first time, he feels that she is the woman he loves; in her first kiss, they realize there is love between them. Julieta's mother wanted her to marry a rich and educated man because she came from a good family. Julieta was determined not to marry that boy she didn't even know or feel attracted to. At one point in the story, Romeo confronts Juliet's cousin, and ...
