The Seagull is a tragicomedy that centers on the lives of multiple artists and the friends and family who join them at a rural estate. This book is about love, art, fame and family.The main characters of this book are Sorin, Dorn, Masha, Shamrayev, Arkadina, Treplev, Nina, Trigorin, Polina, and Medvedenko. Each character goes through similar situations, and each confronts the problem of believing in themselves. Also, in this story, one of the characters named Konstantin goes after his dreams of being famous but is criticized by everyone and begins to doubt himself. However, his mother does not believe in her son's potential, and she does not like anything he does to grow as a person. Konstantin wants to be great like his mother was; he wants to follow his mother's example, but she does not support him and humiliates him.

It is truly so sad that his mother did not support him, I felt like if she did, it would have made a difference in his life and how he ends his life.
