What is World Literature? by David Damrosh
When the question "What is World Literature?" came to mind, I thought about many books. But reading "What is World Literature?" by David Damrosh, I have found that world literature also has to do with cultural prestige and regions. With this in mind, we can read a book, articles, or things that relate to literature in various ways, but it can also be a problem if we do not know the language and how it is written because using translation can change the words or cannot make any sense. Also, I found it surprising that they can have an influential conversation with their aristocratic forebears depending on their culture and class of origin. In the world of literature, readers can have a better understanding of different cultures and traditions from other places of the world. According to Damrosh, just a piece of world literature can define the differences between two or more cultures.
